For Canine Companions Folks, stay away from this VCA. HIgher prices: $77 quoted for heartworm test at 3 local VCAs; quoted $88 at Mather and 24 hours they tried to charge $90. Multiple attempts to cram an unneeded yearly exam. Told me today they raise prices every six months. They are clueless about the CCI program. Have to educate personnel about CCI/VCA agreement and have to argue for discounts every visit. It’s exhausting.

We love the attention we and our dog get when we come in. The doctors do a great job giving us the individual attention we need each time. They've helped us bring baby dogs up in this world as well as helping us at end of life times with a few dogs which can be painful. Anyways they're always cool at VCA Mather

We’ve been with VCA for many years and recently moved our animals to the Mather VCA when we moved here. They may be a little pricier than some other vets, but we think it’s been worth it.
I, unfortunately, had to put my 15 year old cat to sleep a few weeks ago. Prior to that we had multiple visits for treatments and the doctors there were very efficient, honest, and compassionate about our options and trying to treat what was wrong with her.
Dr. Faith was the doctor who was with me for the euthanasia procedure, and we had never previously met her before. But she provided absolutely wonderful care to both my cat at me during that difficult time. She let me know exactly what to expect every step of the way, and gave me as much time with my cat as I needed to say goodbye. Most importantly, she and the staff made sure my cat was absolutely comfortable and without stress the whole time.
I cannot thank the staff enough for being so helpful and compassionate during a difficult time.
